Review drawings and inspect the mechanical envelope, controls, utilities and access. Identify documentation gaps that may affect the upgrade.
Define what changes
List retained and replaced functions. Review how the proposed process affects part handling, inspection, machine sequencing and the final system validation.
Plan recommissioning
Agree on the shutdown sequence, test parts, acceptance conditions and responsibilities. Include the practical route back to production in the project scope.
