Review datums and joint presentation
Check how each component is located and which tolerance variations can change the joint. Review access for clamping, the processing head and inspection.
Consider the complete loading sequence
Evaluate how the operator or handling system introduces the parts, confirms orientation and removes the assembly. Include changeover and rejected-part handling in the concept.
Use representative parts
Trials should include realistic materials and part conditions. Record where tooling changes are required before committing to the production fixture.
